A new career. A personal brand ready to meet it.
Brand identity & photography by Josh Gooch · Created through Best Branding Solutions
Janet was stepping into a new role as a realtor in central North Carolina. She needed to announce her new career with a credible presence and the tools to begin marketing herself.
Working through Best Branding Solutions, we developed her brand strategy. I created the visual identity and brand guide, captured portraits and property photography, and helped carry the brand into a Squarespace website, social media, advertising, and other marketing materials.
01 / Finding the visual idea
Our conversations uncovered a collection of keys Janet was proud of. A key can be familiar territory for a real estate brand, but here it had a personal reason to belong.
I explored typefaces and sketched keys from reference photographs. The final mark brings together a key, a heart, and a home—connecting that personal detail to Janet’s desire to be a helpful presence and friend throughout the home-buying process.
02 / Building the identity
The primary logo, alternate lockup, standalone key, and repeating pattern form a visual system. The brand guide brings those elements together so the identity can stay consistent across her marketing.
03 / Brand photography
Portraits and property photography gave Janet an image library to use across her website and social media. The photographs bring her into the brand and connect her professional presence to the places she helps people call home.
04 / Bringing the brand into use
We built a custom Squarespace website to bring the identity, photography, and information together. Choosing a platform Janet could edit herself made it easier for her to keep the site current.

The work continued into social media advertisements and other marketing pieces, giving Janet practical ways to introduce her services while keeping her visual identity consistent.
From the first conversations to the finished marketing, this project gave Janet a connected set of tools for introducing her new career—with a visual idea rooted in her own story.
